Andrew is a third-six pupil. He regularly appears in the Crown, Magistrates and Youth Court both prosecuting and defending. Before 9BR, Andrew completed pupillage with the Crown Prosecution Service and then spent a year with 2 Harcourt Buildings.
Andrew has experience prosecuting and defending a wide range of criminal offences including, violence, drugs offences, weapons, acquisitive crime and traffic offences. Andrew has experience representing vulnerable adults and youths.
Outside of work, Andrew has a keen interest in sport and music.
Notable Cases
Represented a client who faced a single count of Possession of an Offensive Weapon. He presented with very serious mental health issues.
Represented a youth Defendant charged with ABH and Robbery in a multi-handed case. The Defendant entered a timely basis of plea which was accepted by the prosecution and the Defendant received a 12-month referral order.
Represented a client who faced a single count of Possession of an Offensive Weapon.
Represented a client at the Court of Appeal and successfully argued that his sentence was manifestly excessive.
Represented a client who faced a single count indictment of Attempted Burglary. He was acquitted.
Represented a client who faced a single count indictment of Robbery. He pleaded guilty on day two after legal argument.
