Corinne Bramwell defended former doctor acquitted of three allegations of assault by penetration

Corinne Bramwell's client was acquitted of three allegations of assault by penetration following a three-week trial at Southwark Crown Court.

The former doctor was accused of using medically justified pelvic examinations as a pretext to commit the offences against a patient while working as a consultant gynaecologist in a private London hospital.

Following Corinne's half-time submission, the Judge found there was no case to answer on one charge. The jury unanimously acquitted the former doctor of the remaining two charges.

Corinne was instructed by Surjit Dubb of Hempsons Solicitors.
