Jens Dieckmann was elected to the Disciplinary Committee and elected Chair of the Committee at the Annual General Assembly of the ADC-ICT


On 29 November 2025, at the Annual General Assembly of the Association of Defence Counsel practising before the International Courts and Tribunals (ADC-ICT), Jens Dieckmann, Associated Tenant at 9BR Chambers, was elected to the Disciplinary Committee. On December 3, 2025, Jens Dieckmann was unanimously elected Chair of the Committee by its members.

Background

 

The Association of Defence Counsel practising before the International  Courts and Tribunals (ADC-ICT) is an independent professional association established under the laws of The Netherlands. It represents defence counsel practising before the international courts and tribunals.

In December 2012, the Registrar recognised the Association as an Association of Counsel practising before the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (IRMCT) pursuant to Rule 42 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence. This recognition was officially confirmed in August 2015.

The Disciplinary Council is an independent organ of the ADC-ICT. It is responsible for monitoring the conduct of members, adjudicating on complaints received against members and providing advisory opinions on ethical related matters and interpretation of the Constitution.
