Lennart Poulsen recently took part in proceedings at the Undercover Policing Inquiry, where he questioned Roger Geffen, a prominent environmental and political activist, as part of his role as Counsel to the Inquiry.
The Inquiry is a statutory investigation examining undercover policing in England and Wales, and its impact on individuals, campaigners, and civil society over several decades. Through careful and focused questioning, Lennart sought to explore the personal, professional, and organisational consequences of covert policing practices, and to assist the Chair in establishing a clear and accurate public record.
Roger Geffen’s evidence provided important insight into the lived experience of those affected by undercover operations, highlighting the long-term implications for trust, accountability, and institutional transparency.
As Counsel to the Inquiry, Lennart remains committed to supporting a thorough, fair, and independent examination of historic policing practices, with the aim of ensuring that lessons are learned and public confidence is strengthened.
Lennart was instructed by Undercover Policing Inquiry.
