Fillipo Femminile was found not guilty of murder at Peterborough Crown Court on 23rd September 2026 following a 3-week trial.
He admitted stabbing the deceased a number of times, including twice in the neck, cutting both carotid arteries. Mr Femminile escaped relatively unscathed. The defence was self-defence.
The defendant was assisted by an intermediary throughout the trial. Issues included the admission of a previous conviction for possession of two knives and management of a substantial psychiatric history.
