Emma Heath successful in representing a 19-year-old under the s45 Modern Slavery Act defence before the Croydon Crown Court.
After a 6-day trial, the jury acquitted Emma’s client of possession with intent to supply class A drugs who was 17 years old at the time of the allegation. As part of the case against the Defendant, the Crown relied on previous convictions for like offences where the MSA defence was not relied on. Emma was instructed by Mel Stooks of GT Stewart.
